1st home work assignment

Reflection April 6, 2009

Writing my own syllabus for a class on Motocross was actually easier to do than I anticipated. I simply incorporated all the components of a well-constructed syllabus. I made sure to include anything I would want to see in the syllabi of classes I’ve taken. This means all contact, class, and policy related information. At the top of the first page is the course name, class number, and my contact information. Next is the required text for the course. An overview of what the class covers is covered, followed by the exams, and what the students are expected to know. Various policies, grade distribution, and the course schedule conclude the syllabus. If the students need any additional information, they can use the syllabus to retrieve my phone number and call me with questions.
